Vernon Harrison is the Republican candidate for Massachusetts' 9th Congressional District.

The Fun Stuff

1) Everyone is angry with politicians in Washington. Why do you want to be one of them?

For all the reasons I, too, am mad -- too few represent the constituents and instead govern on being re-elected or down party lines.

2) What's the one thing you couldn't live without?

My family.

3) What do you do when you need some "me" time?

What's me time? ... usually catch up on my sleep.

4) How long can you go without checking your BlackBerry?

Never tried ...

5) What's your dream car?

As a father of five, any car with only two seats. Corvette tops the list.

6) If you could choose, what one super power would you like to have?

Invisible ... I could do so much to fight crime and expose lies that affect the masses, not to mention get into the Super Bowl.

7) What's the funniest thing that's happened to you while campaigning?

At one event someone asked me if I was Bruce Willis ... I replied yes.

8) Are you a dog person or a cat person?

Depends: lunch or dinner? I love all pets.

The Serious Stuff

9) In 50 words or less, what's the first thing the new Congress should do to improve the economy?

Provide real incentives to the private sector for hiring and maintaining jobs. Introduce a ban on all corporate welfare and bailouts. Seek out government waste and do something about it.

10) In 50 words or less, what's the biggest threat facing the country today?

Socialism!
